Why do you need bespoke photography?

Imagery is the most impactful, credible and memorable of all communication methods. If given an annual report or travel brochure, most people will always be instinctively drawn to the photography. It is the primary source of information.

Why do I do it?
It is very rewarding. The practice itself; the opportunity to photograph people as they interact with one another; the feeling of playing an important part in my clients’ successes; seeing the images, always different and fascinating.
Where?
Wherever the event is taking place. I am often requested to attend conference centres, hotels, colleges, art galleries, food production facilities, and all manner of interesting venues which lend themselves to the hosting of such activities. I am based near Guildford and work mostly across London and the South East but can travel further if necessary.
How?
It depends on the nature and style of the shoot, event or image-set the client requires, but in any case I plan meticulously where possible and make all suitable arrangements to ensure best conditions on the day. For most shoots, in order to capture the shots, I have to remain as ambulant and flexible as possible, so I look to carry only the essentials in terms of operational kit. My style of photography has been described as natural and relaxed but that doesn’t mean I don’t pay attention to the technical considerations of every shot and every location. I look to use, support and enhance the natural ambient light wherever possible and if I do use my own light sources they are low-impact, portable and have a small-footprint. I often use light-stands to achieve fantastic results although these never appear in shot. My over-arching rationale in terms of photographic style is to achieve amazing results and wherever possible, raise the game of what is possible.
